Welcome!
This site showcases go-kart racer, Erik A. Day and includes everything from racing photos, schedules, news, to kart specifications and linkages to other kart racing sites. Erik has, of course, suspended his racing career to serve and protect us all. He is one of the many Americans serving with the military in the war against international terrorism. A trained private pilot in civilian life, Erik is plane captain of a U.S. Navy C-130 and recipient of the Navy and Marine Achievement Medal as Selres BlueJacket Sailor of the Year. In a normal year of racing, Erik travels thousands of miles throughout the U.S. Since Sept. 11, 2001, he has traveled literally around the world on assignment with the military. He is constantly on the front lines against terrorism. In fact, one may track where Erik is by following the headlines for as in racing, Erik is where the action is. He thanks you for your support. His family asks that you pray for Erik and all our men and women now serving in the U.S. military.

Racing Record
New England Regional Champion go-kart racer Erik Day has been racing enduro karts on the international circuit for the last nine years.

Ranked Number One for seven of those nine years by the New Hampshire Karting Association, Day has also been ranked consistently as a Top Ten and Top Five International Go-Kart Racer by the World Karting Association. At the end of the year 2000 racing season, only one point separated him and a competitor for the Euro 5 championship.

During his racing career, he as captured over 60 trophies and awards and run over 164 races on the international go-kart racing circuit.

On December 29, 1999, he won the WKA's National Enduro World Championship Euro 5 Light Race at Daytona. He repeated that performance with back to back wins in Euro 5 Light and Euro 5 Heavy in the World Karting Association's Dunlop Tire National Enduro Series Summer Nationals at the New Hampshire International Speedway. In January 2001, he took second place in Euro 5 racing at Daytona as he began his chase for the 2001 WKA championship.
Erik's racing career was placed on hold following the attack of Sept. 11, 2001. Now on active duty with the U.S. Navy, Erik has continued to prove his championship status and attitude, winning the Navy and Marine Achievement Medal as Selres Sailor of the Year. Between assignments with the military, Erik visited the races at Charlotte.
