What is Electronic RIM Lock?
Electronic RIM Lock is a Lock for Gate or Door for Security & Convenience. It comes with Mechanical Keys, Button on the Lock and Electrical Coil inside, so that it can be operated electronically also. Generally it works on 12v DC and also works on 24v AC as well.
Types of Electronic RIM Lock
Majorly there are two types of Electronic RIM Lock
- Roller Type – Has Roller Latch
- Hook Type – Has Hook Type Latch
But the working is quite the same. Some People Like the first and some like the second. By default the Lock comes in for inside opening gates, but the big latch can be reversed to make the lock compatible for outside opening gates as well.

In the previous post I have mentioned about realtime C101 attendance machine, but if you ask me a cost effective attendance machine with even better fingerprint sensor and more robust machine than realtime c101, but with the same set of features, I will choose Biomax LX16.
Biomax LX16 Built Quality, Fingerprint sensor, Metal Body wall mount, and overall package makes it a better choice than realtime C101. Realtime C101 till now may be the better selling model than Biomax LX16 due to Realtime Market Coverage, but LX16 is certainly a much better machine than C101.
