Cheltenham Canoe Club is an active family friendly canoe club and is accredited as a British Canoeing Quality Club.

A wide range of club activities are organised throughout the year to suit all paddling abilities including white water trips, easy touring, slalom and polo.

In the summer we have the privilege to use Cheltenham’s Sandford Parks Lido on a Thursday evening to practice skills and polo games which is very popular with club members.

Weekends can take us into Wales, down to Dartmoor or just to the Wye or Avon.  Our annual Alps trip even allows some paddling in the sun.  This comprehensive programme ensures our members have the opportunity to develop and progress their paddling skills and abilities and enjoy being on the water.

The club is always keen to welcome new members whether new to the sport or well established paddlers wanting to join an active and progressive club.

Please see NEWS link below to register your interest in a Taster session (spaces available) or Beginners kayaking Course for 2024.  At our weekly sessions at Sandford Parks Lido you can come along to practice and improve skills, learn to roll or play a friendly game of canoe polo.  It’s also a chance to find out more about the Club and its activities.  The Taster sessions also take place at the Lido.
