In the summer of 2021, Coppercreek Camp was tragicaly impacted by the Dixie Fire. California’s largest single wildfire in history burned through Greenville, several other communities and hundreds of thousands of acres of forest.

At this time, we can not offer traditional children’s summer camp sessions.
We need to repair and replace our damaged infrastructure and clear the thousands of hazardous trees that remain at Camp.

We understand what a positive impact Coppercreek has had on the countless lives across the world. This is what keeps us pushing to overcome the many hurdles that lie before us.

Coppercreek Camp has been providing youth from around the world a traditional overnight summer camp experience for over 50 years.
In 1965, John Lindskog and Lynne Evarts bought the raw land and built the summer camp from the ground up. The camp has remained in the family and is now owned by John and Lynne’s granddaughter, Sutter Rogers, and her husband Taylor Rogers.
The extensive damages of the Dixie Fire have forced Sutter and Taylor to pivot their small business for the meantime.
Their vision is to rebuild infrastructure to offer a unique camping experience until their traditional summer camp operations are a viable option. They hope to install spacious RV sites, renovate the remaining bunk cabins for “glamping” and expand current tent camping options on their 200 acre forested property.
In addition, they plan to offer Camp as a future evacuation destination for people and animals amidst other disasters.
Their plan will offer economic support for the community while offering a place of respite to guests.
To make this vision a reality, Coppercreek Camp needs financial resources to rebuild and install the infrastructure.
