GIVE LOCAL PIEDMONT
TUESDAY, MAY 14
We need your help to fund our ongoing education efforts and to improve and increase our future programs!
On Tuesday, May 14, the museum is participating in Give Local Piedmont, a community wide day of giving. Our goal this year is to raise $15,000 to help fund our educational programs for the coming year. That may seem ambitious, but we’ve raised over $10,000 annually through this event for the past FOUR years!
What makes Give Local Piedmont different? Why should you donate on this day rather than contribute at another time? Because through this event the museum is eligible for additional bonus funding and prize funds thanks to support from the PATH Foundation and other local sponsors! Each dollar you donate online on Tuesday, May 14 will be counted towards adding additional bonuses from these sources.
In addition, your gift can have the most funding if you schedule your online donation between noon and 1:00 PM on May 14. The institution with the largest number of unique donations is eligible for an additional $1000. Even if you are able to make only a small contribution you can help us win big this year!
Last year, we EXCEEDED our goal of $10,000 for the fourth year in a row! Will you help us repeat that success in 2024 by helping us meet our new goal of $15,000?
Every donation makes a difference, and your support helps to keep the museum alive and exciting! Our preschooler program, Little Learners, is attracting 12-15 young learners every month, and we’ve started a new program in 2024 called Elementary Explorers. We’ve also been holding a monthly lecture series and have opened five new exhibits in the past year!

NORMAN’S GROCERY MARKER DEDICATION
Saturday, April 20, 1:00 PM
Join us for the dedication of the first in the Museum of Culpeper History’s series of Culpeper County historic markers at Norman’s Grocery. The public is invited to commemorate this family-owned African-American business that has been in operation for over 125 years!
VOLUNTEERS WANTED!
Are you interested in local, state, or national history? Do you like teaching and sharing information? Do you enjoy meeting new people every day?
The Museum of Culpeper History is seeking volunteers to help with its daily operations and ongoing programs. Our volunteers allow us to put visitors in touch with the story of Culpeper’s past every day, seven days a week. Without their hard work and support, we would not be able to do the work we do!
