Darwin Webb Landscape Architects is a design studio with a focus on residential gardens and landscapes. The majority of our work is in the Pacific Northwest where our diverse topography, micro-climates and robust local economy offer a wide range of site conditions and project types from vacation cabins to large urban and country estates. Repeat clients have blessed us with projects further afield including Idaho, Oregon, California, Mexico, and the UK.

The well-designed garden provides beauty, function and meaning. It blurs the boundary between building and site. Thoughtful landscape design and site planning are critical to proving seamless indoor/outdoor living, while enabling the home to naturally integrate with its site.

DARWIN WEBB

PRESIDENT

People

Dar graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Landscape Architecture from Washington State University in 1986. While gaining a broad range of project experience at two of the Seattle area's prominent landscape firms, Dar's passion for designing gardens led to his founding of Darwin Webb Landscape Architects in 1999.

A native of the Pacific Northwest, Dar’s earliest memories are of growing up in a log beach house on Vashon Island where miles of beaches and acres of forest provided a verdant playground. Early on his passion for outdoor pursuits including skiing, sailing, backpacking and climbing gave him an intense appreciation of the natural environments and help shape his approach to design. Dar’s creative but pragmatic designs results in distinctive gardens and spaces that reflect their owner’s goals and personalities, fuse landscape and architecture, and respond to the inherent qualities of the site. When not designing gardens, you will most likely find Dar chasing powder snow in the winter, enticing a trout to rise to his fly on one of his favorite holes, or spending time with friends and family at his beachfront cabin in the San Juan Islands.
