Third Pantin Tournament: April 13 & 14, 2024
Brussels go club Le Pantin is proud to announce its third tournament!

Tournament format
System: 4 rounds MacMahon
Time limit: 45 min
Byo-yomi: 5*20 sec
Rules: Japanese
Komi: 6,5
Handicap: -2

Results will be taken into account in the Belgian rating.
Please note that the tournament venue is a bar. It should be calm but we cannot guarantee it.

Registration and entry Fee
If you want to register, please email us to club_lepantin@gofed.be with your last name, first name, rank and club (if you have any). For your information, there will only be 20 places so be aware! The registration fee includes one free drink per day.

Registration AND payment until April 10: 5€
Registration from April 11: 10€

Payment preferably by cash but feel free to ask our bank account if this is easier for you.
If you wish to cancel your pre-registration before April 12, you will be fully refunded.

6th round of the European team championship: Belgium beats Finland (3-1)

On 6th March, Belgian team (Lucas Neirynck +, Jan Ramon +, Gabriel Mercier +, Nelis Vets -) won against Finish team in the 6th round of the ETGC.

After 6 of the 9 rounds, Belgium is 3rd with 7 points...but far away from Turkey and Italy, who dominate both with a perfect (12/12) score !

5th round of the European team championship: Belgium draws with Lituania (2-2)

Belgium team (Lucas Neirynck +, Jan Ramon -, Gabriel Mercier -, Nelis Vets +) made a draw with Lituania in the 5th round of the European Team Championship.

Belgium is in the middle of the division (which is still by far dominated by Turkey and Italy, both with a 10/10 score).

Preliminaries of the 2024 Belgian Championship

The Belgian championship is the only competition in Belgium that is divided in 2 Rounds: 8 players participate in the final round.
4 of them are seeded thanks their results in last year championship (they ended at places 1 to 4): Lucas Neirynck, Thomas Connor, Jan Ramon and Victor Schneider. This preliminary rounds would determine the 4 other players who would join them.

It was an intensive weekend of Go. 8 players battled it out in 7 rounds.

4th round of the European Team Championship: Belgium lost heavily to Italy (0-4)

Belgium team (Lucas Neirynck -, Jan Ramon -, Sven Cuyt -, Nelis Vets -) lost heavily to Italy in the 4th round of the European Team Championship.
Note: Lucas lost by 0,5 point to young raising star Davide Bernardis.

Kim Jung Seon (KOR) wins the 43rd WAGC (World Amateur Go Championship); Bram Vandenbon ends 32th out of 46 players (3/7 score)

coming soon (Sunday 14/01 2 PM to 4 PM) : General Assembly of the Belgian Go Federation

The General Assembly of the Belgian Go Federation will take place on Sunday 14/01/2024 from 2 PM till 4 PM (online - MS Team).

This important meeting is the main opportunity to exchange information, share ideas and comments regarding the past year and the future of your club and of the BGF.

The link to participate to the meeting will be communicated to the every BGF member who are interested (send a mail to : board at gofed dot be).

3rd round of the European Team Championship: Belgium lost to Tukey (1-3)

Unfortunately, after the 2 wins in the 2 first round, Belgium team has been beaten in the 3rd round by a strong Turkish team (Lucas Neirynck +, Sven Cuyt -, Nelis Vets -, Gints Engelen -).
