Hard to believe it is 3 years since I last updated this site. So what has happened in the mean time.
In January 2017 we did a 4 night cruise up the east coast to
Hamilton Island and back. With so many of our friends and neighbours going on cruises we decided to give it a try. It was
good but I definitely prefer caravanning.
I have been researching my family history and have been able to trace family members back to the early 1700's. But interestingly, I have also been able to trace living relatives, some of whom I didn't know existed including seven 1st cousins..
August 24 this year saw the official opening of Citycave North Lakes. Our daughter, Therese, and husband Steve have bought into this fast growing franchise. Incidentally, the internal water feature and seating were made by yours truly. The seat covers are Therese's handiwork.
In October our faithful 2003 Holder Jackaroo died en-route to
visiting Karen's mum. We now have a 2011 Nissan Pathfinder SLX. It feels like we have gone from a truck to a limousine. Powered leather seats, keyless entry/ignition, dual climate control air-conditioning, etc, etc.
