In case I forget to update for another
few months, I thought I'd point you in
the direction of some other good
reading. These are blogs I really,
really like.
Ethan Beginnings
I adore this family and their
little guy just melts my heart.
If you are a new parent of an lp,
make sure you check out their Abc's
of being Achon: Them vs. Us. It's
perfect.
Tiny Green Elephants
This entire family makes me want to
be cooler. I wish we all were bff.
A is for Adelaide
Oh gosh, Addie is the cutest. I
can't wait to meet them in person.
Life Is Short And So Am I (Courtney)
Honest, funny and she isn't afraid
to speak frankly. I like her a lot.
Little Ray of Sunshine (Lauren)
A personal blog about our friends
who went through a DD pregnancy and
their life
after. It's beautifully
written and one of my most
favorites.
Well Noah
and I are off to Idaho. They
cancelled our flight yesterday, so
please cross your fingers that they
won't today. We need to see
(great) Grandma stat!

Maybe I should start blogging.
MONDAY, JULY 8,
2013
Sometimes I get a big jolt of motivation
to get this blog started again.
Then I realize I need to feed my
kid, collect his blocks from
under the couch, stare at some laundry
(maybe tomorrow), and clean up a
hairball our cat so generously placed on
my pillow. By then my jolt
subsides. Right now Noah is
playing sweetly with his fake-food-kabobs, so I thought I'd slip
in a tiny update.
I hate to start off with a sad note, but
if you haven't heard, we lost our sweet
Ginger in November. She truly was
the best girl I could ever ask for.
She was so faithful and my heart aches
everyday for her. (I'm tearing up
now as I write this!) She really
was very loved and lived a very loved
life. It's what I have to keep
reminding myself.
On a happier note, Noah is walking
everywhere and impresses us a ton with
things he learns. I was asked
about his stats (since lps tend to
physically progress later than
average-sized babies), so I'll post them
below. Keep in mind this hugely
varies between lps:
Rolled over from tummy to back: 3 weeks!
Reached for toy: 7 weeks
Held head up (when on stomach), and
rolled from back to tummy: 6 months
Sat unsupported and did backwards crawl:
9 months
Stood while holding onto something: 12
months
Army crawled like crazy: 12 months
Sat up all by himself (from laying on
floor): 13.5 months
Cruised: 14 months
Stood without holding onto anything: 16
months
Walked: 19 months
So there you have it. My kid is
awesome! Right? Eh? ;)
Well he is.
He's such a big guy now. Here are
25 pictures to catch you up.
So, that took more time than I thought
and it's snack time now. Thank you
for peeking back at this site.
After 10 or so years, it's nice to know
that some people still come back to look
at it.
