New York—A reluctant Donald Trump will be back in a New York City courtroom Thursday as his hush money trial resumes at the same time that the U.S. Supreme Court hears arguments in Washington over whether he should be immune from prosecution for actions he took during his time as president. Jurors will hear more witness testimony from a veteran tabloid publisher, and Trump faces a looming decision over whether he violated a gag order imposed by the judge. But he had asked to skip out on his criminal trial for the day so he could sit in on the high court’s special session, where the justices will weigh whether

The New York Times criticized the support former President Donald Trump has received from the New York Police Department as his ongoing Manhattan hush money trial continues to get unwanted media attention. The NYPD has been appearing to protect Trump from undue media attention as he enters and exits the Manhattan courthouse every day. The police force has shown unwavering courtesy to Trump, a stark supporter of law enforcement, making “law and order” a major theme of his 2020 presidential campaign with more than 900,000 officers endorsing him

The White House Correspondents’ Dinner or ‘Nerd Prom’ is happening this weekend on Saturday night. This is the night where a bunch of DC and NYC journalists get together with Democrats and make fun of Republicans for a few hours. According to new reports, the anti-Israel mob is also planning to attend the event, which could be very interesting. Most of the journalists who will be attending are ideologically aligned with the protesters, so there shouldn’t be any problems, right? The Washington Examiner reports: Pro-Palestinian protests aim to ‘shut down’ Biden, journalist ‘Nerd Prom’

Former Attorney General Bill Barr said Thursday on Fox Business Network’s “Kudlow” that Republicans had to win the November elections because Vice President Kamala Harris was in the “batting circle with Joe Biden.” Barr said, “Well, I’ve said, yeah, the choice now is a binary choice between these two candidates, and of the two, I support President Trump. And one of the reasons is because I think many of our critical problems, including deregulation, crime, restoring law and order, restoring control over our borders, rebuilding our defense in this increasingly dangerous world, standing by our allies, I trust President Trump to do that much more so than President Biden, I think.

President Joe Biden repeated a lie he's told in the past about having driven an 18-wheeler truck at a speech in Florida Tuesday. At 81, the oldest president in American history, Biden has remained a gaffe machine throughout his presidency, often re-telling lies about his biography that have been repeatedly debunked, even by mainstream outlets. At Hillsborough Community College in Tampa Bay on Tuesday, Biden claimed to have driven a big rig.

Last week Google fired 28 employees who had participated in a sit-in aimed at getting the company to end cooperation with Israel. “Physically impeding other employees’ work and preventing them from accessing our facilities is a clear violation of our policies, and completely unacceptable behavior,” a Google spokeswoman said in a statement. Years before the dismissals, tensions had been simmering between the company’s management and some activist employees over Project Nimbus, a $1.2 billion Google and Amazon deal to supply the Israeli government with cloud services, such as artificial intelligence...

The IDF announced on Wednesday morning that it recruited two reserve brigades to continue the defense and attack mission in the Gaza Strip under the command of Division 99. Elements of the evacuation of Rafah were moving into place on Wednesday, yet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the war cabinet still had not approved the attack operation against Hamas’s remaining four battalions there as proposed by the IDF. Prior to the IDF’s withdrawal from Khan Yunis on April 7, there were around 1.4 million Palestinians in Rafah, mostly civilians, who would need to be evacuated for an invasion to go forward.

In recent weeks, the Biden administration has distanced itself and U.S. policy from Israel’s response to attacks from Hamas and Iran, two of Israel’s bitterest enemies. Americans show sharp political divisions in their support of Joe Biden’s policy shift toward the U.S.’ long-time Mideast ally. Hardly a day goes by without more news from the Mideast, much of it related to Israel’s retaliation following Hamas’ shocking Oct. 7 invasion, resulting in at least 1,200 dead and 240 kidnapped and held as hostages in Gaza and elsewhere.

A spending package that will send billions more in American taxpayer dollars to Ukraine, signed by President Joe Biden on Wednesday, could have built an entire border wall along the United States-Mexico border. The Senate, late on Tuesday, voted 79-18 to approve the spending package.“You know, Putin started this war believing he could easily break the will of the people of Ukraine,” Biden said on Wednesday. “When that failed, he changed his strategy a little bit, thinking he could break the — break the will of NATO,

President Joe Biden has repeatedly said he won’t hike taxes on anyone earning less than $400,000, but then this week he promised on X to hike taxes on just about everyone. Now, to be fair, Biden may not have understood that’s what he’s saying. Letting the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act expire and “stay expired” would be a massive middle-class tax hike because the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was a massive middle-class tax cut. Yes, wealthy people also saw their taxes reduced by the TCJA, but the law actually shifted a greater portion of the tax burden onto the wealthy. The TCJA doubled the child tax credit

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden or President Ron Burgundy? Pause,” said Biden, 81, a la Will Ferrell’s buffoonish newsman character in the classic 2004 comedy “Anchorman.” Members of North America’s Building Trades Unions stepped in and dutifully chanted “four more years” in response to the president’s botched cue. It was not immediately clear whether the instruction was included in Biden’s teleprompter or in his prepared remarks. The gaffe was one of a series of bizarre moments that peppered the speech,

In his speech, Biden claimed that his uncle, Ambrose Finnegan, was shot down near Papua New Guinea during World War II and that his body was never recovered because “there were a lot of cannibals” in New Guinea at the time.
