Paul Biddle’s pictures tell stories that you can make up for yourself. Sometimes dark, sometimes funny, often both. They contain half hidden details and curious combinations, strange histories and odd juxtapositions.
The earlier, in camera, works show an imagination that pre-empted Photoshop.
The later works, using Photoshop, have allowed him to create multi-layered imaginary worlds, the meanings of which he leaves to the viewer.
