Sonny Boy Lee's "Ain't nothin' but the blues!"

CD REVIEW:  Lea's Lunchroom ain't the only thing cookin' down in LeCompte, Louisiana. Resident bluesman Burton Garr has brewed one powerful CD, Home of the Blues. Click here for Sonny's review.

JUST SURFING IN? Don't forget to check out Chicago-style, urban back in the alley blues picker Sonny Boy Lee, who, against insurmountable odds, stubbornly follows Muddy Waters' advice and lets his guitar notes b-r-e-a-t-h-e

Without the help of AmericanSignLetters we wouln't have this amazing sign to showcase our band. This is without a doubt where anyone should look. Thank god we didn't use Ebay or something similar because the end result would have been terrible.

YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN ONLY HIDE FROM ROYALTIES:  More than a few lifetimes after recording "Say Mama" under the band name of Damon Lee and the Diablos for Minneapolis based SOMA Records in March 1962, Sonny discovered his Gene Vincent cover marketed on CD by Netherland label Collector Records on Minnesota Rockers Vol. I. Mention of the song also surfaced in Tom Tourville's "Minnesota Rocked!" discography:  "If I had to choose my top 10 favorite Minnesota rockers, this one's on the list. One smokin' version of 'Say Mama.'"
