We’re please to announce that we will be holding XP Day 2015 on 26/27 Oct at The Royal College of Surgeons.

The format will be the same as last year. We will start with a kick-off session at 18:30 on the evening of Monday 26th to get to know each other and build an initial programme. The main Open Space session starts on Tuesday 27th at 09:30. Finally, we will move on to our regular eXtreme Tuesday Club from 17:30.

I will have to own that one. A classic cut and paste snafu. Thank you for pointing it out. Otherwise I would have been sat on the steps with my Turkey Sandwiches wondering where everyone was.

I’m interested in XP and would like to meet other like-minded people. However, I have no idea what this event is about – there’s no format, information, agenda here or any other website. “The format will be the same as last year” means nothing to me. If organisers would like to see more new people, they should address this issue.
You are right, the wording doesn’t say much to people that haven’t been at the conference before.
This event is an open space conference about XP and agile development. “same as last year” means that on the night of the 26th we’ll create the programme for the 27th based on the ideas and preferences of the attendees.
Even if you don’t come on the 26th, there is still value on coming on the 27th. The main difference is that, in doing so, you would miss a chance to influence the programme.
what time does the kick off meeting run until and will i still be able to contribute on Tuesday if i miss the Monday eve event
It starts at 18:30. Of course you can come then next day, if you can’t make the evening.
