2. Our unique approach to teaching music

We approach learning music like learning a new language. As kids we first learn how to talk and only later on we then learn how to read and write. In the Atlanta School of Musical Arts we apply that same approach by first teaching you how to play your favorite songs. As you learn more songs we will dig deeper and teach you the theory behind the music, leading to a solid musical foundation. Throughout our teaching experience we have found that our approach gets our students excited about their lessons - simply because they are having fun!

3. Experienced and passionate music teachers

All of our music teachers have college training, professional performance experience and teaching experience. Our music teachers are dedicated to learning about your personal musical goals and helping you to achieve them in your music lessons. With at least three music teachers for every instrument, we are confident that we have the right teacher to meet your music lesson needs. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and dedicated to teaching you the style of music that you want to learn in your music lessons.

4. Individualized music instruction

Whether your child wants to start playing their first notes on piano... you are a teenage guitar player looking to start a band... a college student looking for help with their music major... or an adult who never got the chance to fulfill their dream of playing the drums... we personalize lessons to accomplish your dreams. This ensures that YOU get to choose what your goals are, and meet them in a way that works best for you.

5. Learn foundational skills

We incorporate music theory, ear training, and sight reading into your music lessons, right along with your new performance skills. Music lessons are taught in an innovative way to keep students learning and growing, whether you are a young child, teenager or an adult.  We use various types of media to spark creativity and keep lessons interesting as you learn your instrument.

7. FREE music recitals twice a year!

Every parent just wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. One of the best ways for a parent to understand if their investment in music lessons is really worth it is to have their child perform in a recital. In May and December many of our students choose to perform in our biannual recitals. these recitals are free and unlike many schools in Atlanta we do not charge recital participation or admission fees.

8. Prizes, certificates and awards to celebrate our students' musical milestones!

At the Atlanta School of Musical Arts we have implemented a unique reward system, in which we give our students the opportunity to earn prizes, certificates, and awards for passing certain milestones on their musical journey. When you enroll for lessons with us, our instructors will work with you to establish a plan for your musical success. It's always makes us proud when our students show off their awards to their friends! When the students are motivated to earn their awards, they practice more, and it's a win-win for both them and their parents!

9. Flexible, open lesson schedule

We offer music lessons seven days a week from morning to late at night to accommodate your busy schedule.

Lessons are available:

9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Seven days a week.
