A bit about Sharon Lima: Former Miss Brazil USA, Sharon Lima, is now an experienced broadcast journalist, who pride herself on being a hard worker and a go-getter. She also wears many hats in a newsroom: from shooting, writing and reporting, to professionally editing pieces. Being fluent in three different languages aids this Amazon princess to better relate to co-workers, interviewees and viewers.

She is currently a contributing columnist for the Gazeta Brazilian Newspaper. Her weekly column consists of South Florida's arts and entertainment reviews.

For someone who played soccer all her life, she impressed many with her football knowledge when she started as a sports reporter for the Don Strock Show -- WTVJ/NBC. At this weekly sport's show, she developed stories, videotaped live events, reported and edited packages. Is there anything that this young lady can't do? :)

She is mostly know, thought, as the capitivating Host for Brasil TV on WLRN. Brasil TV (old Aqui Brasil) aired in both the US and Brazil, giving her a great deal of exposure during the three years she co-hosted the show. But if you think she was just a pretty face on air, you are wrong my friend. On this show, Sharon not only co-hosted the program, but she also produced her own segments, put together video packages, and co-wrote scripts.

She also has a great passion for writing, and that is why she worked as a staff writer for Ocean Drive Brasil Magazine. As a writer for the magazine, her job consisted of developing, covering and writing articles.

But before venturing herself into the world of TV news she was an anchor and producer for Best Buy Telemarketing Inc. -- an infomercial production. Her job consisted of producing product infomercials and anchoring their weekly Home Shopping Network spot.

Her passion for TV, though, started in 1998 when she hosted a children's television program called "Amarelinha" marketed for Brazilian television.

Sharon graduated from Florida International University with Bachelor of Science in Communication in 2002.

She also interned on NBC 6/WTVJ News Department -- Investigative Reporting Unit for eight months, where she played a crucial role on many of their investigative pieces.

Sharon's native language is Portuguese, but she is completely fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).

Sharon says that she loves computers and the technical equipment used for ENG. So it is not surprising to know that she is competent in Microsoft Office, Avid NewsCutter, Adobe Premiere 6.0, nternet Research Skills, among other computer programs.
