In 1984 we bought our first SA Champion, Wattoo Wattoo and that really got us fired up. Chris C Viljoen (manager) studied champion saddlebreds to find out what makes them different to other saddlebreds. For nearly 10 years he studied bloodlines of Champions in SA and the USA, before he was satisfied that he had the knowledge to start a successful breeding program of our own. We bought the very best mares available in the early 1990's. These mares bottom lines are mostly out off BHF Doris Denmark (by Anacacho Denmark out of Elizabeth Jones by Peavines Highland Chief ) and BHF Fair Virginia (by Beau Peavine out of Lady Virginia, 2nd dam BHF Betsy Trotwood), by far the two most prolific breeding mares in SA history. Most of their daughters we used are by Cameo's Farewell the no 1 breeding stallion in SA history! Out of these mares, we have bred horses who were SA / Nam Champions and even a 5 gaited World Grand Champion, in their show careers, including names like CCV Affirmative Action, Miss PI, CCV Marguerite de Savoy, Born Believer, CCV Chain Reaction, CCV Final Legacy, Fire Power, Dare To Be Great, CCV Super Personality & World Grand Champion CCV Casey's Final Countdown. After many years of selective breeding with some of the very best broodmares and some really exceptional stallions. Including stallions out of some of the greatest mares of all time like Rosa Flinder, Cameo's Lady Jane, Glenview Enchantress, Enchanted Moments, Mini Skirt, Amarylis, Fancy Talant, etc. Stallions with legandary sires like SAGCH Young Lover, Spring Fever, RSAGCH Edge Street , Advocater, Firefly Wing, Prince O'Lee, etc. We have the largest collection of Cameo's Farewell (the no 1 stallion in SA History with 36 SA Champions on 1 SA Championship) blood IN THE WORLD!! We are regarded as one of the most successful breeding facilities in South Africa, ever! Our first and main aim in our breeding program is performance, heart, natural movement, combined with type, but out main goal is and will always be, heart and preformance! In 2004 we exported the then 4 year old CCV Casey's Final Countdown to the USA. In 2007 CCV Casey's Final Countdown became the World Five Gaited Grand Champion in Louisville, KY, USA. The highest honour any owner, breeder or horse could hope or dream of. We are the only South Africans that can claim to have bred, raised, trained and still own a World Grand Champion 5 Gaited horse in the USA.
