This site is devoted to the BMW E39 540i 6-speed.
It's intended primarily to provide information of interest to owners and other enthusiasts. You'll find information regarding common problems experienced with these cars and standard fixes, links to other related resources, and recommended parts, tools, and vendors. Also, there are descriptions of some of the modifications that I've done to my car - a 1997 540i 6-speed. The focus is on the 540 6-speed, but most of the information is applicable to other BMW E39 models as well.
This site is fairly old at this point but I'm leaving it up for whatever help it may provide to people interested in these cars. Yes, I still have mine going on about 8 years now. I don't do a lot with it these days other than drive it and fix it. Which is more frequent is a toss-up. ; )
