Welcome to the Alameda Aero Club!

birthdaycakeThe Alameda Aero Club is a small, all volunteer, non-profit flying club dedicated to promoting general aviation and providing our members with well-maintained, inexpensive airplanes. We are based at the North Field of Oakland International Airport, across the Bay from San Francisco in Northern California. We have 7 aircraft — a Diamond DA40 G1000, a Piper Arrow, a Piper Cherokee and four Cessna 172s– that are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for club members (via our web-based reservation system). We also have an experienced group of full-time and part-time FAA-certificated instructors offering instruction for club members- so come and fly (or get that instrument rating/commercial/CFI) with us!

planewashYou will not find a friendlier or more accessible club in our area. (However, please keep in mind that this is an all-volunteer club, and we really welcome members who can assist in club activities from time-to-time.) If you are looking for a complete aviation club experience, you’ve come to the right place! Membership fees consist of a $250 initiation fee, a $750 deposit and monthly dues of $70.00.

A personal check, cashier’s check or money order for $1070 is required with your membership application. After membership is approved, you may pay monthly dues and aircraft rental fees by credit card at FlightCircle.com.

Aircraft hourly rental rates are listed on the individual pages for each specific aircraft, and are  tach/wet rates. Read more about the club and view our Membership Application Form. For more information, please contact the Membership Officer.

Aircraft owners: the club is always looking for aircraft for leaseback to the club. Our leaseback deal is very attractive, and you remain in complete control! Email our club president or chief pilot for details.
