Counselling in the Bath area and online.

Life isn’t always easy. Things change, or end, or go wrong. It can be difficult and challenging and it’s easy to
feel anxious or depressed or overwhelmed, confused.  Sometimes we get stuck, feel we can’t cope or just don’t like ourselves... sometimes it hurts.

It can help to feel heard and understood.

As a professional counsellor and an older man with a broad experience of life I will take the time to listen
carefully to you, with kindness and compassion. You can talk to me openly and confidentially and we can start to
untangle your concerns, to transform them, to see things in new ways...

I believe that with the right support

everyone has the ability to move forward and flourish. Counselling is a vital and hopeful connection, a process that enables and encourages the possibility of understanding and change. It is an opportunity to start feeling better.

You can talk to me about anything

I will not be surprised by anything you tell me. By working together as a partnership we can safely explore your concerns in a way that aligns with your personal journey.

I work in a professional, friendly and straightforward way

I am a qualified member of the BACP. I am committed to their Ethical Framework. I have monthly supervision from an experienced supervisor and undertake regular CPD to enable me to provide an ongoing professional service. As an experienced counsellor I am here to support you.

About

I'm here to help - online
or face to face counselling

It is usual to meet for an hour once a week. However other arrangements are possible to suit your needs. Mostly I meet clients online using Zoom, it is easier for us both and it keeps costs to a minimum. If you would prefer to meet face to face please contact me to discuss.

Your first session can be the first step to feeling better

Your first session is an ideal opportunity for you to talk to me, a professional counsellor, and start feeling better. It's a chance to sit down
with someone who really wants to understand how you're feeling and who wants to help you make positive changes in your life.

You can talk to me about whatever is important to you.

You can tell me about what's been going on for you or what you hope
to get out of counselling, or maybe talk about some of the things
which have been troubling you or making you unhappy. Or you may want to talk a little about your past experiences, or anything else that seems relevant to you.

Your first session is free

Your first session is an opportunity to see if you feel comfortable working with me. Everything you say is confidential and I will always be respectful of your feelings and experiences. At the end of the session, we can decide together what happens next.

The long and the short of it

Counselling duration can vary. One session might be enough, but research shows that 12, 16 or 20 weeks is more usual. It’s up to you [and what you’re bringing]. We will regularly review our progress and you
can stop anytime.

If you feel I can be of help or you would like to check my availability, please contact me
