Let’s build a movement together.

Appalachian Community Fund provides resources and support to grassroots groups and community-based organizations working for social, economic, racial, and environmental justice in Central Appalachia.

Because — just as every fire begins with a spark and every forest a seed — lasting, large-scale, change is only possible when it starts with the people on the ground.

Give today and become a partner in creating social change.

Your donation supports community-led organizations working to address the underlying causes of poverty and injustice in Central Appalachia.

Trans Empowerment Project

The objective of the Trans Empowerment Project's Knoxville chapter is to help build power for trans and gender non-conforming individuals across Appalachia. They do this by addressing important short- and long-term needs of members of the trans community—offering services ranging from employment assistance to inmate advocacy to emergency aid.
