PLC DINNER AND AUCTION – On Sunday, April 28, join us in Fellowship Hall for a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser and a silent auction that will take place after our worship service. All donations to the fundraiser and silent auction are welcomed.  Please contact the Director, Kimberly Watkins by e-mail if you are interested in making a donation for the auction, or just come and enjoy fellowship and spaghetti to help support our PLC!

THE AFTER CHURCH EATING OUT GROUP will join the PLC Spaghetti Dinner in the Fellowship Hall this Sunday. We will dine at The Bistro on May 5th. Please let Mary Evans (270-791-7205) know by May 3rd if you plan to join us on May 5th so we can reserve a big table!

SATURDAY MEALS  The Presbyterian Church is hosting Saturday Meals this coming weekend (27th).  We still do not have sufficient volunteers to cover all the areas needed.  We need at least five (5) volunteers to work inside, needing to arrive no later than 6:45am and two (2) volunteers for driving routes.  Can we get these positions filled by Wednesday?  I need to have my full report no later than Wednesday at noon.  Thanks to everyone who has volunteered and to all of you that will volunteer for this Saturday.  God bless, Lovelyn  (619/368-2103).

SPRING PICNIC AND FELLOWSHIP at Preston Miller Park on Sunday, May 19th at 4:30pm — Mark your calendars and plan to join us!  We are having the picnic at shelter #1 of Preston Miller Park, but ALSO we will have a scavenger hunt prior to the picnic. Meet at the church at 3:00pm for the start of the Scavenger Hunt, then come for a cookout and picnic at the park, or just come later for the picnic. Bring along a lawn chair if you like, and your favorite side or dessert to share!

MISSIONS will be holding a breakfast on June 23 before service.  The proceeds of this breakfast will go to Habitat for Humanity.

SPECIAL EVENT!  Please mark your calendars for Wednesday, May 22. The Christian Education committee has invited Friends and Family Outreach at WKU College of Health and Human Services to teach their course on basic CPR and defibrillator use in our fellowship hall. The course is free.  No previous experience is required for this basic course. Breakfast will be served at 8:15 AM, and the course will begin at 9, and last approximately 2 hours.  Please see the sign-up sheet on the table across from the Chapel (below where our defibrillator is located), or call the church office at 270-843-4707 to do so.  Looking forward to your attendance.

SUNDAY SCHOOL Sunday morning is a wonderful time to be with others at the church. Classes are for all ages, and they start at 9:15.

  • Preschool taught by Jimmy and Betsy Tyrie
  • Godly Play taught by Mary Evans – Kindergarten through 5th grade
  • Middle and high school taught by David Clarke
  • The Coffee and Conversation Class is reading Holy Envy; Finding God in the Face of Others by Barbara Brown Taylor
  • A Bible study class is studying the book of Mark

PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN We have the date for the PW Spring Gathering - Wednesday, June 5th! We will be meeting at the Baker Arboretum/Downing Museum in Bowling Green. Please plan to join us! VBS  Vacation Bible School will be June 9-12. We are partnering with the Episcopal and First Christian Church. We will be needing volunteers to help prepare dinner, work as group leaders, head craft stations and set up. If you are able to help, please contact Susan Howard at sfyusk@gmail.com or 270-303-1767.

MISSIONS - JOIN US FOR BREAKFAST on June 23.  The meal will be served throughout the Sunday School hour 9:15 to 10:15 in the fellowship hall.  If you do not want to miss your class, just take a plate with you!  This will be a great time to honor those men in your life as a late Father's Day gift.  There is no charge, but donations received will go toward our Habitat for Humanity benevolence.

SAVE THIS DATE:  This year's Pig Pickin' church picnic will take place on Sunday August 18. Plan to join us for outdoor worship and fellowship, with good food and fun!

Directions on Sunday Parking

The Presbyterian Church is located in downtown Bowling Green, one block from the Square, next to the historic Courthouse on the corner of 10th Avenue and State Street, six blocks from Western Kentucky University.  On Sunday parking is available across from the church on 10th Avenue, on the street. and at nearby parking lots.  During the week, visitors may park in designated slots in the lot across from the 10th Avenue lobby entrance.

Downtown Bowling Green is popular for its arts, its restaurants and proximity the WKU.  The church serves a diverse community of all ages and demographics.
