About Us

Welcome to Care Fees Planning; your team to support you in deciding your future care.

Daniel provides specialist advice regarding elderly financial matters, including how to pay for care, how to raise money via your property (Equity Release) and all matters relating to elderly financial planning. This could be whilst receiving care in your own home or if you decide to move into a care home. We appreciate that these issues can be difficult for you and your family. Daniel will do all he can to ensure the information he provides is explained in a manner that all can understand.

Daniel is an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) who is not tied to a specific product or company. Offering you the best solution for your current needs. He has a wealth of experience as an IFA and is a specialist in the area of elder financial planning issues.

Whilst being a member of SOLLA (Society of Later Life Advisers) he is also a member of the Equity Release Council and holds all the necessary qualifications to advise on this area.

His offices are based in Ascot and Aldermaston, however, Daniel covers a very wide geographical area and is more than happy to do home visits.

We strongly advise that anyone moving into care should seek financial advice from a trusted and qualified financial adviser. Research shows that the majority of people receive insufficient advice on how care fees can be funded which can result in many thousand of pounds being wasted.

Mr and Mrs Spencer
At Home Care

Mr and Mrs Spencer live together at home. Mrs Spencer has been diagnosed with dementia, Mr Spencer is fit and able. They have both agreed that they need 24 hour care at home rather than going into a care home at present.

The cost of a live-in carer is £52,000 per year. They have some savings that won’t last for very long and their house is worth a considerable amount.

Mr and Mrs Spencer decide that they would like to release capital from the house in order to establish a care annuity. They speak to their local SOLLLA (Society of Later Life Advisers) member, who is also a member of the Equity Release Council, firstly to establish the cost of a care annuity, then to establish the Equity Release arrangement in order to release capital to fund their care annuity.

The end result is that Mr and Mrs Spencer can live at home for as long as they both choose to.
