modern sculpture, wrought copper and bronzeThis is a large site featuring a full range of sculptural works in forged iron, hammered copper, wrought bronze and ornamental ironwork. I really consider this site to be a show case of work as a retrospective and a compilation of ideas and interests rather than a commercial gallery.

There are three components to this site.  The first section is focused on sculptures produced in the  studio and  commissions for architectural settings.

The second component highlights another interest which is the passing on of traditions relating to sculpture and direct  metalwork.

The third section contains whatever doesn't fit in the above catagories.  This isn't an after thought but rather a place for different projects and excercises that simply come to mind from time to time.

It's not expected that a visitor be interested in all aspects of this site but hopefully will discover bits and pieces that will prove to be either useful or simply enjoyable.

This site is continually updated at random intervals with additions of new work and addded features. Check out the what's new link for new material added if you revisit this site at a later date. (if you're an aol user you really should find out how to cache your images in an uncompressed format because each time you revisit a site all the images become increasingly degraded using their standard browser settings.)

Thank you for visiting and I hope to see you again.

Chris Ray

I'd like to express my appreciation to Gabriel Romeu who is kind enough to be a sponsor on this site. To see his very elegant furniture designs then please visit his site at:table
