About this site and Clay Aiken:

This is a fan site for pop star and public figure Clay Aiken. Clay was a contestant on season 2 of American idol. The www.claytonaiken.com site was formed in the spring of 2003 for fans who discovered him through the show. Although he was runner-up on the show to his good friend Ruben Studdard, he is first in our hearts. Check out the content here and join the discussion at our message board, The Clayboard.

Clay has now released five studio albums (see Music link above), has written a best selling autobiography (Learning to Sing), has starred in two television specials (A Clay Aiken Christmas and Tried and True Live!), and starred as "Sir Robin" in the Broadway musical Spamalot. He has also toured twelve times (see Tours link above).

He is also a tireless advocate for charity, including National Inclusion Project, which he co-founded with Diane Bubel, Unicef USA (celebrity ambassador), and GLSEN (Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network). Most recently, he appeared on Celebrity Apprentice to play for National Inclusion Project, competing successfully to be one of the last two finalists. Although he did not win the show, he raised funds and awareness for the Project.

Clay also recently campaigned for congressman in NC District 2. (November 2014 election). Although he won the Democratic primary, he lost the general election to incumbant Renee Ellmers. It was a hard-fought campaign. He was a strong advocate for people in his district.
