Johann E. Wieland has joined CORFINA as a Partner. His career of more than 30 years in the automotive industry did lead him from central functions such as controlling, marketing and strategic planning to purchasing in the BMW Group. Most recently, he did lead the very successful joint venture BMW Brilliance Automotive as CEO. From his activities, Wieland has gained deep knowledge and broad networks in the Asian region, especially in China.
Ulrich Bröscher On February 16, 2018, our Senior Advisor Ulrich Bröscher passed away after suffering a short severe sickness. Mr. Bröscher joined CORFINA after his retirement from Lufthansa Group, where he had held several senior management positions, last as COO of LSG Skychefs. He was one of the first members of our aviation and T&E practice groups, where his expertise and his friendly support were decisive to CORFINA's success. Ulrich Bröscher was a highly respected colleague and a dear friend of our team. We will always remember him with gratitude. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his wife and family during this trying times.
Axel Bilstein will join CORFINA as a Partner effective May 1, 2017. After 9 years with Dresdner Bank, Price Waterhouse and Arthur Andersen, he worked 15 years within Lufthansa Group at various positions including Vice President Investments for the private equity arm of the group as well as Deputy Head of M&A. In the last 10 years he held various international management positions in the Catering division including CFO for the US, CEO for the UK and CRO for the continental European business. At CORFINA, Axel will cover the sectors aviation, transportation and tourism.
Steffen Seifarth has joined CORFINA as Senior Advisor effective January 1, 2017. After 9 years with Procter & Gamble and Bertelsmann, he worked 14 years with Coty Inc. at various positions including General Manager Germany, Vice President Marketing Services Worldwide and Regional Vice President D/A/CH and Eastern Europe. For 10 years he was active as a board member of key industry associations like Fragrance Foundation Germany and VKE-Kosmetikverband and is currently part of the advisory boards of Markenverband e.V. and Luxury Business Day. At CORFINA, Steffen will cover the sectors cosmetics and luxury goods.
Christian Neuss has joined CORFINA as a Partner. During his career in financial services, he worked with BHF Bank in the Leveraged Finance divisions and was responsible for origination and execution of Leveraged Buyout and Corporate Buyout transactions at HypoVereinbank. Most recently, Christian was a Partner at Permira, one of the leading global Private Equity firms. Besides financial services, at CORFINA he will also cover media, fashion, consumer products and retail markets.
Volker Hoff has recently joined CORFINA as a Senior Advisor. Before coming to CORFINA, he worked in a number of professional areas. Volker was founder and CEO of Zoffel Hoff Partner Group, a full service advertising agency. Besides his professional career, for nearly 20 years he was active in the political sector, as a member of the State Parliament in Hesse and State Minister for European and Federal Affairs in the government of Hesse. Following his political career, he returned to the private sector as a managing director and member or the board of General Motors Europe with the European brands OPEL and VAUXHALL. At CORFINA, he will be responsible for government relations and public sector projects.
Michael Stüber
On September 20, 2015, Michael Stüber, our long standing board member, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. Mr. Stüber joined CORFINA from its inception and was not only a respected colleague and Senior Partner but also a very dear friend. His expertise and his friendly and uncomplicated manner were decisive to CORFINA's success. We will always remember him with gratitude. Our heartfelt condolences to his family during this trying time.
Otmar W. Debald has joined CORFINA as a Senior Advisor. Before coming to CORFINA, he was Managing Director Procter & Gamble Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Chief Financial Officer and Director Logistics/Supply Chain. He will be mainly responsible for our Consumer Goods and Logistics practice group, following his more than 30 years of experience in the Consumer Goods Industry, Financial Management, Strategic Planning, Corporate Governance and Supply Chain Management. He is an active member in various Supervisory Boards, Advisory Councils and has consulting functions in various organizations.
Wolfgang Leimgruber has joined CORFINA as a Senior Advisor. Before coming to CORFINA, he was a member of the board of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG and responsible for production and logistics. Wolfgang Leimgruber will strengthen our automotive, technology and engineering practice and will add valuable expertise and experience particularly in the automotive and technology sector. Prior to joining CORFINA he worked for more than 35 years in the automotive sector. He has extensive top management and project management experience, including strategic management, repositioning and restructuring of companies in these core industries. He is an active member of a number of supervisory and advisory boards.
Klaus-Peter Stieglitz has joined CORFINA as a Senior Advisor. He broadens our technology and engineering practice especially in the defence & security technology sector. Prior to joining CORFINA, Klaus-Peter had an exemplary career in the German Armed Forces that ended as a 3 star general and Chief of Staff of the German Air Force (Inspekteur der Luftwaffe). He broadens our international experience in this area.
