Disaster And Wilderness Ground Searchers, Inc. (D.A.W.G.S.)
D.A.W.G.S. is a Connecticut based a volunteer search unit dedicated to the training of search and rescue dogs, handlers and support personnel in order to provide professional and highly-skilled search and rescue teams in the event of emergency response events. The first priority of Disaster and Wilderness Ground Searchers, Inc. is to save lives.
Our primary search area is the state of Connecticut, although we are willing to assist disaster relief efforts and lost person searches wherever we are needed.
D.A.W.G.S is made up of highly motivated people from a variety of backgrounds. What brings us together is the desire, and the need, to help.

DAWGS provides to police, fire, or DEP agencies – at no cost – professional k-9 search and rescue services 24x7x365 to assist in, or manage, a search for a lost or missing person.
