Hi.
I’m Dennis West, an experienced instructional designer and curriculum manager with a comprehensive background including graphic design, illustration, and media production. Plus, I’m an international Creative Lawn Stripes Competition winner!
Much of my career has been spent as a graphic designer, but after returning to school to obtain my BFA (2014) in Animation (with a minor in English) I gained additional skills in animation, visual effects, and writing. After receiving my BFA, I obtained a position in the learning organization of telecommunications hardware company where I have applied my design and media skills in the development of training materials. To improve my usefulness in this role, I returned to school and earned my MS (2019) in Instructional Psychology and Technology. I am currently additionally pursuing a PhD (expected completion end of 2023) in the same subject.
My area of focus is how the aesthetic experience of learners can aid in receiving and retaining the content. This unique blend of experience and education provides me with the ability to create complete learning experiences that adhere to instructional methodologies, strategies, processes, and standards while being visually and experientially engaging.
