April's update is another feast of goalkeeping trivia, featuring Aston Villa's shirt faux pas and the Huddersfield goalkeeper who was forced to wear his opponent's shirt during an away match. There's also the former Tottenham keeper who released a rap single, the German international who played a character called Big John in a South African film and bunch of goalkeepers that found the net, including the Southampton goalkeeper who once scored five in a game. If that wasn't enough there some more goalie-themed quotes from some the game's most famous names.

There is something of a Soviet-era feel to the latest update that includes the night Rinat Dasayev wore a France goalkeeper top for a friendly in Paris and the addition of the forgotten Yevhen Rudakov to the Goalkeeping Greats section. If that's not enough, there's also the Tehran derby where both keepers donned a shirt they swapped with their opposition numbers in the 1982 Asian Games, some more sporting masters and quirky coincidences plus the Spain international who turned to politics after hanging up his gloves.

Celebrate the Leap Year with the latest site update, featuring the goalkeeper who was something of a musical polymath, the Greek keeper who was asked to leave the field by his teammates, the French goalie with a unique choice of jerseys and the Slovenian youngster whose professional debut lasted almost a minute. There's also the goalkeeper arrested for drug dealing, a few more sporting masters including the goalkeeper that won an Olympic silver medal with Sweden's ice hockey team and few keepers who had debuts they'd probably rather forget.

The first update of the year focuses on Arbroath's goalscoring goalkeeper and some other keepers that also found the net, albeit in not such a spectacular fashion as Ali Adams. There is also a couple of keepers that turned to politics after retiring from the game and a couple of outfield players who answered the call when a place between the sticks came calling. If that's not enough, there's a few soundbites to wrap things up, including the reason why Alan Rough stayed with Partick Thistle for so long.

The last update of the year features rapper Kayne West's penchant for Pompey goalkeeper tops, Phil Parkes' attempt to enter the hit parade with an eclectic gathering of fellow footballers, a few more goalies who weren't adverse to a bit of cricket and Mary Earps having a tram named after her. There's also some more goalscoring goalkeepers, nicknames and quirky middle names plus for the footballing family with no less than four generations that all turned out for Watford (although only one of them had the good sense to be a goalkeeper...)

A small but perfectly formed update that features 15-year-old Max Woodford's debut for Stevenage, the Scottish goalkeeper that made history by facing the first-ever penalty kick and the Italian World Cup winner who went over 900-minutes without conceding a goal. There's also the Bristol City keeper that saved a spot-kick on his first ever appearance in a first-class game, the Ghanaian arrested for fraud and the Swedish stopper who went on to make his debut on the silver screen.
