Planting Day Office Closure

All administrative offices of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake will be closed on Monday, May 20th, for Tsi Niieienthos Awenhnisera/Planting Day.

  • Regular household recycling and compost pick-up service will continue as normal. Please have recycling curbside by 7am
  • Transfer Depot and Cardboard drop-offs closed
  • All essential services remain in operation

Kahnawake challenging Ontario on iGaming Scheme

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) has mandated Olthuis Kleer Townshend LLP to file a Notice of Application with the Ontario Superior Court against iGaming Ontario and the Attorney General of Ontario challenging the legality and constitutionality of Ontario’s unilateral re-interpretation of the “conduct and manage” provisions of the Criminal Code on which Ontario has based its new iGaming scheme.
