ate in 2008 I completed the sale and transition of my business, Jahn Investment Advisors, to new owners and began a new chapter in my life. Some call these years "retirement," but I think of them as a transition to a new life phase offering me and my life partner and husband, Don Bayer, a wonderful opportunity to embark on new adventures.

ust a few of my current activities and interests:

University of Wisconsin Stevens Point
My alma mater, where I have established a mentorship program, "Reaching Across Generations," matching senior women students with business and professional women in central Wisconsin. I also am a guest lecturer and currently serve on UWSP's Foundation Board of Directors. In October 2010, UWSP honored me with their Distinguished Alumnus Award and in December I was asked to give the Commencement Address at the 2010 Winter Commencement Ceremonies.

Financial Woman's Association / SF
An organization of 500 women leaders working in financial services in the Greater Bay Area. I am an active participant in their mentorship and scholarship programs for Undergraduate and Graduate Students in the SF Bay Area. In 2000, I was honored to receive FWA's
Financial Woman of the Year Award.

Some of the other organizations whose mission and activities I currently support:

International Travel: In September 2010, Don and I spent a month traveling throughout Brazil, including the Amazon Rainforest; Salvador, Bahia; and Rio de Janeiro. In 2011 we will be spending a month or more discovering India. 2012 will likely find us in China or Africa. Photos of these adventures can be found on my Facebook page.
