College-Wide Initiative on Anti-Racism

Meredith College is working to cultivate an inclusive and pluralistic campus environment where diverse identities are welcomed into our living, learning, and working community. The anti-racism initiative reflects our commitment to strength, integrity, and the power of education to bring about real and lasting change across Meredith’s campus.

Lauryn “LT” Turner, ’25, came to Meredith ready to make her mark. As a lacrosse player, student leader, and broadcaster for a weekly sports show, she’s having a meaningful impact on campus while preparing for her future communications career.

Through a wide range of leadership roles, faculty support, and internships, international studies and political science major Danika Ray, ’24, gained confidence and skills that will set her up for success in her studies at Campbell Law School.

Olivia Roy, ’25, has combined two of her passions, dance and psychology, to positively impact others with dance therapy. Meredith has provided her with opportunities to reach her career aspirations.

The rollout of the 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) has had numerous problems. As a result, some Meredith students, both current and incoming, still need to complete their FAFSA. Doing so is important because completing the FAFSA every year a student is in school is the only way to access all of the financial aid they are eligible to receive.

This spring student-athletes, coaches, parents and families, and members of the Meredith Alumnae Association gathered in the Johnson Hall Rotunda for ring ceremonies to celebrate Meredith’s  USA South Conference champions.
