U.S. Check Imaging, Conversion, and Truncation Market Forecast and Analysis, 2002-2010

In this study, we forecast the total volume of paper checks that will be imaged and either converted to ACH transfers or truncated into electronic checks from 2002 to 2010. To arrive at the forecast, we first analyze the types of checks that are processed today and identify those that are most likely to continue being processed as paper during the forecast period. The remainder are candidates for electronic processing of various sorts.
