Welcome to the
Northern Ireland Horse Board
The Irish Horse Register has been the leading World Breeding Federation Studbook for producing event horses over the past 11 years.
Currently the Northern Ireland Horse Board has over 4000 shareholders in Northern Ireland and Great Britain.
Board Representation
As a registered Co-operative Society, the board of directors will be elected by members at the Annual General Meeting. The board will consist of a maximum of twelve members. Each Board member will serve a four-year term.

Why do I need NIHB?
Discounted Service Rates
NIHB members receive discounted rates when completing registrations with Horse Sport Ireland. This includes discounts for new passports, naming of horses, passport endorsements and duplicate passports.
Access to IHR Online
NIHB members can access the online Irish Horse Register. Members can search for horses and view pedigree, progeny and performance records. (Fair usage Applies)
A Copy of IHR Stallion Book
NIHB members are entitled to a copy of the Irish Horse Register Stallion Book; a vital source of information for breeders, containing contact details for stallion owners/agents.
Produced every 2 years, due to weight and postage costs, copies will be available in the NIHB office for collection from mid November.

To keep NIHB members up to date with all that is happening with the Studbook as well as Irish Sport Horse competition successes.
