Warrant sweep results in 11 arrests

The Washington County Sheriff Fugitive Warrant Unit, with the assistance of several area law enforcement agencies, conducted a warrant sweep early Friday morning. About 40 bench or probation warrants were attempted for several crimes, resulting in 11 arrests. The bench warrants for those arrested ranged from firearms to drugs and probation violations, as well as an individual who was wanted by Federal Parole for a federal firearms violation. Reschenthaler staff to hold mobile office hours in Fayette, Greene

Staff members of Chief Deputy Whip Guy Reschenthaler are holding mobile office hours in Fayette and Greene counties throughout May. Constituents can receive help with Social Security and Medicare issues, federal grant funding, passports and visas, immigration and naturalization services, veterans’ benefits and the IRS. Students take step back in time at Bradford House event

Homeschooled students from throughout the region were given an up-close look at 18th-century living during the first ever Homeschoolers’ Day at the Bradford House in downtown Washington. More than 270 people attended Tuesday’s event, hosted by the Bradford House Historical Association.
