A STUTTERING INFORMATION FORUM – LET’S TALK ABOUT STUTTERING
We are excited to announce a FREE Stuttering Information Forum organised by the NSW Speak Easy Association event for Saturday 9th March.
The Forum will bring together some of the world’s leading experts in research and treatment of stuttering (Yes, that’s right, Australia is a world leader in stuttering research), INCLUDING PROFESSORS MARK ONSLOW AND ASHLEY CRAIG.
The Forum will be open to speech clinicians, stuttering researchers, Speak Easy members, and the public and will focus on child, adolescent, and adult stuttering. Topics discussed will include:
The nature of stuttering
The prevalence of stuttering
What can be done for child stutterers e.g. treatments available?
Adolescent/adult stuttering and the differences between this and child stuttering.
Associated anxiety conditions that may also be present in stuttering.
Light refreshments and drinks will be served and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask the professionals questions.
