Faqs
- Can I get package pricing? Yes. If you need a variety of rights best to call or email us.
- Can I get quantity discounts for large amounts of footage? Yes.
- Can I get a bulk rate for an entire season? Yes
- Do you have photographic releases. Yes. Typically we do and our license indemnifies you in most cases.
- Sometimes I see two quality levels. What does this mean? The first is what we currently have on line. The second is the highest we can offer, often as a result of film backup or super high resolution masters too large to store on line.
- Do you accept submissions? Yes. Best to email us to start the process. Let us know what you have.
- Do I need to sign in to search for clips? No. But if you want to save light boxes for future reference or to purchase clips you must sign in. You can download watermarked clips for editing purposes.
- What do you mean by premium royalty free footage? The term "royalty free" has come to mean many things. For us you purchase a clip for a specific job. You pay a one time fee for that job and for whatever rights you need. We do not charge residuals such as are due actors or directors.
- Can I upgrade rights if I get distribution? Yes. Just let us know by email and we will change the terms of the original license. This can be a great way to save money if you are unsure of the media you need. For example you can purchase festival rights for a feature where distribution isn't yet secured and then upgrade to include theatrical, television, DVD, or an online release.
- Do you offer discounts for multi year tv commercials? Yes, when arranged in advanced.
- Do you offer tech help? Yes. Email us. We will get back to you as soon as someone is available.
- Do you keep credit card info on file. No. You must enter each time. We do offer certain regular clients the ability to bypass the credit card system and download clips and report what has been used.
- I can't find exactly what I'm looking for. Can you help? Yes. We offer free research. Please be as specific as you can.
- I have a project where I need many flash cut shots. Can you help? Yes. Best to call or email.
- What are the limitations within the playback license? Within the same footage group we allow you to edit the footage however you want within the playback. For example it allows you to create your own baseball or football game.
- Why are the premium prices so high? Obtaining the clearances and permissions needed to get this footage was very difficult and costly. Our prices are a fraction of what major leagues or colleges charge and we offer fully cleared footage.
- If I purchase rights for a non airing pilot how do I upgrade if I want to change the license to full broadcast? Click upgrade rights. Our policy is to discount the cost 50% for a non-airing pilot so you just need to pay the difference.
- If I buy all rights for a feature film does this include the trailer or commercials for the film? No. It is for use within the context of the film in its entirety wherever and however that film is shown. It does, however, include what is called "in-context promotion." This means a clip taken from the film which may include the purchased footage used during an appearance by the star or in discussions about the film or in a promo on the network family in advance of the episode. It would not include a promo for the series or on other networks without additional payment.
- Does the charge for a commercial include lifts and different versions? Typically yes. By different versions we mean essentially the same spot but perhaps the tag is different or the narration is in Spanish. A completely different spot using the same footage is priced separately even if it is the same campaign.
- What does it mean download delayed? Basically the master is not yet on line. We are working very hard to get everything on line for instant download but we're still catching up. Most masters will come within a few hours or at worst the next day.
