Chairman’s letter
I started my business career in 1977 in the manufacturing of vegetable oils. My family was engaged in this business from 1958 in Punjab, so I decided to take my ancestral business forward. In 1994, I started another branch for the same business in Haryana in 1994 as our business group was very big and we eventually divided the business amongst ourselves.
Then I decided to move to Uttarakhand in 2000 because there was a lot of potential here due to a big market for oil seeds and other oil-bearing materials. This is the year in which I set up Shree Oils & Fats Pvt. Ltd. in Baheri. In 2014, I established another solvent extraction unit by the name of Solvex Edibles in an effort to expand the family business. After the successful operating and functioning of both these units we decided to do vertical integration and we started a third venture as a vegetable oils refinery in 2022. Now all the units are managed by my two sons and one son-in-law.
