Jesus Is Calling Us Deeper HE PROMISES TO RESTORE AND RENEW HIS PEOPLE Our world is hurting. We all need healing, yet many of us are separated from the very source of our strength. Jesus Christ invites us to return to the source and summit of our faith in the celebration of the Eucharist. The National Eucharistic Revival is a movement to restore understanding and devotion to this great mystery here in the United States by helping us renew our worship of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist

As per the new Decree by the Arch Bishop Charles Thompson, we are allowed to apply only one intention per Mass except on some special days prescribed in the Decree. So hereafter our office will accept only one Mass intention per Mass. Please cooperate to abide by the directions of the Archdiocese. More explanations on this are coming up.

Holy Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday 8am-12pm Fr. Cyprian will take Communion to the sick and the homebound. Please call the office to schedule your visit.

The Youth and Young Adult Ministry revised their organizational structure effective December 2023. As volunteers, striving to bring youth and young adults together for the love of church, the revised structure allows for the leadership team to focus on growth and development of the ministry programs while providing ongoing opportunities for the youth and young adults to come together. Executive Leadership Team Members are: Chair: Teresa Keith; Vice-chair: Vanessa Alcantar; Youth Coordinator: Delia Moran Hernandez; Event Coordinator: (As of this writing, we are still looking for an Event Coordinator) and Young Adult Ministry: Kaitlin Keith. Esperanza Esparza is the Parish Administrator overseeing our efforts. Lent Retreat March 16 – Dignity of Life Retreat The next Executive Leadership Team meeting is on January 10, 2024 at 7:00 pm. We will be writing the Ministry Vision Statement. If you would like to have input in writing the vision statement, please contact Vanessa irisvanessaa@hotmail.com or Teresa tdkeith@aol.com.

Starting this weekend we begin recruiting volunteers for the festival. We need your help for different shifts and different jobs. We have forms to volunteer according to your available time near doors, desks or in the office. We need many hands! The festival committee would like to have a booth or a tent to show off the ministries of St. Gabriel Church. The leaders of each ministry are invited to have their ministry represented. Please send Mark Lahr mlahratc@comcast.net the contact number of a member of each ministry. Once we know how many ministries will participate, we will determine the space needed. We encourage banners, posters and picture collages.

We still need a volunteer for the Community Liaison. This person will work with the neighborhood before and after festival.

The $5000 Raffle tickets will be distributed for sale beginning April 27. Please sell at least one set of tickets before the festival. An Early Bird drawing for those who sell tickets before the festival will be held on Sunday, May 19.

We are still in need of festival Sponsors. Please talk to companies that you do business with about becoming a sponsor. There are 4 levels of sponsorship: Platinum -$3000, Gold - $1200, Silver - $600, and Bronze - $300. A partir de este fin de semana comenzamos a reclutar voluntarios para el festival. Necesitamos de su ayuda para diferentes turnos y diferentes trabajos. Tenemos las formas para voluntariar segun su tiempo disponible cerca de puertas, escritorio o en la oficina. ¡Necesitamos muchas manos! El comité desea tener una cabina o una tienda de campaña para mostrar los Ministerios de la Iglesia de San Gabriel. Se invita a los líderes de cada ministerio a que su ministerio esté representado. Envíe a Mark lahr mlahratc@comcast.net el número de contacto de un miembro de cada ministerio. Una vez que sepamos cuántos ministerios participarán, determinaremos el espacio necesario.
