TW-3: RWMA GROUP A CLASS 3 COPPER

TW-3 is a heat treatable high strength and high conductivity copper base alloy which offers the combination of greatest strength and hardness with high electrical and thermal conductivity. TW-3's hardness, high annealing temperatures and good wear resistance make it n excellent choice for welding high resistance materials such as stainless steel, nichrome, and monel. Available in drawn bar & rod, forgings, castings, strip, and plate.

TW-9: RWMA GROUP A CLASS 3 COPPER

TW-9 is a high strength, high conductivity copper base alloy with similar properties as TW-3. TW-9 uses silicon, and chrome instead of beryllium to create a beryllium free class 3 copper. In most applications TW-9 may be substituted for TW-3.

TW-4: RWMA GROUP A CLASS 4 COPPER.

TW-4 is a heat treatable copper base alloy having very high hardness and strength along with lower electrical and thermal conductivity. TW-4 is used for platens, projection welding and electrical upsetting electrodes and other applications requiring great stength and hardness. Available in drawn bar & rod, forgings, castings, strip, and plate.

Refractory Composites

TOOL-WELD refractory metal composites are used as electrode materials for resistance welding and similar related electrical contact wear applications. The manufacturing process is to press the refractory, sinter at high temperature, and infiltrate with copper or silver. This process produces a very hard material with great arc and wear resistance, high thermal and electrical conductivity, and good physical properties at elevated temperatures.
