WTLA provided me with great opportunities to interact with practicing attorneys and to seek advice, while going to UW School of Law. The Association helped me land in a great place both geographically as well as professionally by linking me with experienced trial lawyers. As a way of showing my gratitude, I am serving on the Board of Directors to give my time back to WTLA like previous attorneys gave before me.

As a young attorney, I regularly seek help and advice on litigation strategies, and I am always trying to learn more about trial skills and best practices so I can better serve my clients. WTLA provides so many programs and educational opportunities to young and seasoned attorneys alike. I also appreciate WTLA's legislative work to ensure that constitutional protections are afforded to every person in Wyoming.

I became a member of WTLA's Student Chapter as a 1L because I wanted to be a Wyoming trial lawyer. At the time, I knew little if anything about WTLA's mission or objectives. I then became intimately familiar with its mission and objectives as I flagged pieces of legislation for the Board's consideration. I am now in the early stages of my practice, and I recognize just how important it is to preserve the mission and objectives of WTLA, and I am honored to transition into a more active position within the organization to do my part in the  pursuit preservation.
