My name is Carissa Haston and I am a graduate of Messiah College. I suffer from two life-threatening health problems including idiopathic gastroparesis and prolonged QT. Symptoms of gastroparesis include nausea, vomiting, early satiety, bloating, refux, regurgitation, malnuitrition, and dehydration. I take domperidone for gastroparesis which I have to get from Canada. I am involved in a campaign to get the drug approved in the U.S. I have also take proopulsid, reglan, and erythromycin for delayed gastric emptying and I reacted to all three. I also suffer from prolonged QT and I take tenormin for that. Symptoms of prolonged QT include cardiac arrest, sudden death, torsades de pointes, and syncope (fainting or passing out). I created this site to reach out to people who are suffering from these problems. I would also like to get as many people involved in my domperidone campaign as possible. |
