It all started with a question from a co-worker and an article in an aviation magazine! And here we are. Reverend Jill and I operate Sunset Scatterings primarily as a community service. It is truly an effort of love and spirit, not commerce. Our fees are used to offset our costs for maintaining this website and operating the aircraft for the scattering flights. Our true desire is to help others, and combines Jill’s love of earth and spirit and my love of flying.

We started Sunset Scatterings because we appreciate that for many, scattering a loved one’s cremains is too emotionally difficult, or an impossibility due to location or health limitations. We also can appreciate that the cost of funeral arrangements for many is a significant hardship, coming at a time when the families need support and sympathy the most. We see also a growing need in the community as cremation becomes ever more prevalent in the mainstream of our society. |
