Heusch inc is a Los Angeles based team of architects and designers founded by Gerhard Heusch in 1991 with a partner office in Paris. Past projects include residential, commercial, hospitality and interior design projects. Over the years we have acquired experience with new construction as well as renovation, restoration and adaptive reuse of existing structures. Our work can be found throughout the United States, Europe, South America as well as Asia. We have designed several restaurants such as the Grand Havana Room in Los Angeles and New York or New Yorksi s Cello Restaurant and private Residences in Malibu, Paris and Beverly Hills. Our clients range from high end retailers such as Escada and Chopard to Hotel developers such as DOH International and Hacienda Resorts. A wide array of corporations have hired us to design offices, showrooms and retail outlets. GERHARD HEUSCH After graduating from the Munich Academy of Arts he worked 2 years in the architectural office of Canal in Paris. There he collaborated on the design of the new Tolbiac Library and National Center of Literature, which was to be housed in an 18th century building complex in Paris. Gerhard then obtained a Master of Architecture from UCLA. Upon graduating, he taught seminars on the subject of Computer Aided Design (CAD). He acquired professional expertise by working with Dworsky Associates in Los Angeles where he participated in the design of the Corporate Headquarters of the Home Savings Bank, a Detention Center and Sheriffi s Headquarters. He worked on several resort hotel projects in French Polynesia before winning a Hotel Design Competition for East Berlin. He founded his own firm in 1991 Heusch Inc. Traveling and working in the US, Europe, South America and Asia, Gerhard has continued to demonstrate his talent with winning design concepts, and by working on many remarkable structures. His career encompasses a wide scope of diversified projects, from resort hotels, shopping centers, housing projects, retail stores, restaurants, office interiors and residences to the simple clean design of modern furniture. David Wick is the associate of Heusch Inc. Mr. Wick joined Heusch Inc. in 1996 and since that time has been involved in the design, production and construction management of retail, commerical, hosptiality and residential projects. He is also a licensed Architect in the state of California. Prior to joining Heusch Inc, Mr.Wick served as the project designer, architect and manager for the offices of Eric Moss and Hodgetts + Fung. He received his B.S. from Art Se Young Choi is senior designer of Heusch Inc. SE joined Heusch Inc. in 2002 and since he has been involved in the design production of hospitality and residential projects. He is also engaged in graphic and web design. Prior to joining Heusch Inc, SE practiced architecture with the Conway+Schulte Architects and the George Yu Architects. He participated the number of architecture competition as the consultant. He received his M.Arch. from Southern California Institute of Architecture(SCI_ARC), and B.Arch from Iowa State University. |
